Nail Art: Just Purple and White

Please forgive me as I am into floral nail designs lately. *teehee* I'm trying to be comfortable with flowers as I find them really versatile and flexible in terms of nail art ideas. I am also still practicing and making an effort to paint them faster, particularly painting with my weaker hand.

This nail design is quite simple that I can recommend for nail art beginners. For lack of a more interesting name, I just called this "Just Purple and White" as it only uses those 2 colors.

Base color is 2 coats of Orly Charged Up.

I sometimes arrange ... or rearrange my nail polishes. During the last time that I did, I noticed that I only have a few purple shades. That's when I decided to use one as base color for this particular flower nail art design.

The white flowers were painted using acrylic. This is not a one-stroke technique. I still have to learn that one. But I do enjoy taking my time whenever I paint my nails.

I added a few random tiny white dots for additional detail.

One good thing about this nail art is the fact that it will work with any base color that you like. You might encounter some nail designs that will particularly not work with certain colors.

I am quite sure that some of you have already noticed that I am more into creating nail designs that have irregular patterns. I still have to figure out why is that so. Perhaps it has something to do with how I want my life to be. Most of the time, I want to be spontaneous. I want to live each day differently. Don't you get that feeling sometimes? Yay! Deep!

  1. These are very pretty Rina. I don't venture into the world of flowers much because somehow I always mess them up. I'll be looking through your blog for some tips :-)

  5. Hi, Nail Stories! That's how I felt before. I wasn't really into floral nail designs as I really didn't know how to paint them well. My mother inspired me to practice and soon enough, I was already making flower designs! I am still into clear lines and I think it shows in most of my designs, even on flowers.

I actually made a video tutorial on how I paint flowers. You may view it at http://youtube.com/simplyrins
