Nail Art: Snoopy

My Nanay said I started drawing as soon as I knew how to hold a pencil, well actually, a crayola. Our walls was my canvas. Haha! I remember I used to draw cartoon characters that I see on our daily newspaper. Snoopy was the first cartoon character that I memorized to draw. And so today, in memory of my childhood, I made a Snoopy nail art!

Snoopy nail art design by Simply Rins!

I have three (3) accent nails for this design -- Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Woodstock. I chose the 3 primary colors for my Snoopy nails because I wanted lively colors to bring out the kid in me.

Here's how the base colors look bare:

Nail Art Snoopy 05
This is 2 coats of China Glaze Blue Sparrow. Application was easy. Sheer on the 1st coating but the 2nd coating made it opaque. It dries fast too. This is by far my favorite blue.

I used 2 coats of OPI The Show Must Go On on 2 of my accent nails.

I wanted to show off the beauty of the China Glaze Blue Sparrow so I left the other nails plain. I also only chose to paint the 3 most famous characters from Peanuts. Perhaps if I get crazy again, I can redo this Snoopy nail art with all the other characters. :)

Nail Art- Snoopy 01
Charlie Brown on my pointer finger and a lazy Snoopy on my ring finger.

Charlie Brown - Zoya Buffy for the skin color, Elianto Yellow for his shirt

Snoopy - Orly Cherry Bomb for the house, Lucidarling white with shimmer for Snoopy himself

After seeing the results, I thought using Orly Cherry Bomb for the 2 accent nails would have been better to have consistency. What do you think?

Nail Art- Snoopy 02
Only Woodstock on my right ring finger.

Woodstock - Elianto Yellow for the entire body

I used black acrylic paint for outlining and white acrylic for base colors before applying other nail polishes on top of my base colors.

A final look:

Woodstock on top!

I love how this nail art turned out. I hope you like this Snoopy nail art. Doesn't it makes you feel like a kid again? :)

  15. Yay! Thank you all so much! Long live Snoopy! :)

To Swaafie, I'm using a regular nail art brush. I flatten the tip and dip it thinly to have very little paint on it. I really just love outlining because I think it makes the design more alive and the colors separate well. :)

  21. Thank you! Thank you! :) You're all cheering me up!

To Gigi, for the outlines, I flatten the tip of my nail art brush, dip it lightly in the paint and I try my outmost best to only touch the tip of brush during strokes. :)
