The first rose buds nail art I did had a white background and the roses were painted in black. For this remake, I used a different color scheme.

Another difference is the no. of roses I painted on each nail. For purposes of this nail art tutorial, I hope you wouldn't mind that I only painted one rose bud per nail.

Essie Navigate Her
Initially, I wanted to do another black and white version with black as a background and white rose buds. But as I was browsing through my polish rack, I saw Essie Navigate Her and instantly decided to use it for this nail art tutorial. I used 3 thin coats of this lovely pale green nail polish. Application can be tricky in terms of getting it opaque so I applied 3 layers.
I was unsure if this color would go well with my skin tone but after application, I questioned myself why I haven't used Navigate Her before. You probably know that I am not fond of greens, but I'm loving this particular shade.

Painting small objects on nails can be frustrating at first because it requires more precision on the brush strokes. I've included a few personal tips on the video tutorial. Hopefully, it could help those who'd like to try this tutorial.

I used white acrylic paint and a detailing nail art brush to hand paint the nail design.
The recreation of this rose buds nail art resulted to more subtle look, which I think was a good complement for the subtle color of the polish. I thought of using black acrylic paint so that the roses would stand out but I still preferred to paint white roses so as not to overpower the polish shade.

Oh, and did you notice the chunky ring in the pictures? I recently bought that in a flea market and thought of using it for the photos because it looks like a rose leaf. Somehow, I think it stole the limelight from the nail art. But it's so pretty I felt compelled to include it during the photo shoot.
Without further ado, here's the video tutorial of how I painted the rose buds:
