Take a look at what I came up with:

Rose Buds Nail Art Design by Simply Rins
After several practices, I was happy with how this hand painted nail design came about. The nail art was delicate to look at but didn't look cluttered.

I didn't want a pure white base color so I decided to use China Glaze Moonlight in 3 thin coats. It has a not so sheer finish that I really like. Application can be tricky if you're not conscious on making brush strokes even.
The nail design was painted using black acrylic paint and a detailing nail art brush.

Initially, I thought that black rose buds would look sad on my nails. I was also afraid it would look goth and I didn't want that because it won't fit my outfit. But after painting one nail to see how the design would look, I was satisfied and went on.
As I share with you this rose bud nail art, I now wonder how it would look like with colors. Would it still look classy as this black and white one? I will have to include that on my to-do list to see or perhaps if you'll decide to recreate this look, please share the results with me. :)

The hardest challenge I encountered while I was painting this is when I was working with my non-dominant hand because I wanted the rose buds as small as possible. I wanted the stems to be as thin as I could make them and the leaves to be not overwhelming. This made painting with my weaker hand more difficult as usual since I was very into details. Perhaps you noticed how the rose buds on my right hand are slightly bigger than those painted on my left hand.

I was very fond of this nail design that I wore it for almost a week. I hope you liked this one as much as I did.
Share with me your thoughts regarding this design. :)

ReplyDeleteI think that after this combination of colours, the first thing I would try is black background with white and silver roses, and the next one would be red background with black roses :-)

This was so pretty I used it as inspiration & did my own version, I of course gave you full credit & linked to this page:-)
ReplyDeletepretty & chic!
ReplyDeleteYou should post a video showing how you made the roses. They look like stamps!! lol
ReplyDeleteThis nail design is something I am really proud of because it was a challenge to keep my hands steady to create small rose buds. The design is somewhat straight forward given that I only used black to paint the roses. But I have been receiving some requests for a tutorial. I'll try to squeeze that by next week. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all your wonderful comments.
