Nail Art Tutorial: Flowers by Paperclip

Nail art enthusiasts appreciates dotting tools in creating nail designs. It is very easy to use and comes in different sizes! Painting flowers, for example, comes easy with the use of dotting tools. But what if you like to create an oval or an oblong shape? Before, I use a nail art brush to create oval shapes. However, I got an idea based on how dotting tools work. It is now easy to create ovals using a paperclip and you can use it to create flowers as well!

Here's what I came up with:

I used 2 coats of Nars Zulu as base color. For the flowers, I chose Orly Solid Gold and Orly Kiss the Bride. I didn't want to cover the beauty of Nars Zulu so I opted for subtle colors and I thought gold would be perfect. If you want your flowers to stand out, choose a contrasting color.

Dotting tool and a paperclip

I idea is quite simple. Since the edge of the paperclip is elliptical in shape, I figured it will create an oval shape when used similar to a dotting tool. And it did! How cool is that? Aside from flowers, you may use it to create oblong eyes for cartoon characters or for any other purpose you may want to use such shape.
