Nail Art: Feeling Blue

It's hard to ignore the unbearable sadness I am feeling right now. My best friend, my partner, left me. And instead of pretending that I am fine, I choose to be honest and allowed myself to wallow in misery. Loneliness is a battle that is so hard to win. And I am not giving myself the chance to lose. I know you will understand and permit this emotional post as I cope one nail art at a time.

Earlier today, I asked you on Facebook what color of nail polish is best for the broken hearted. I decided on dark blue since I am feeling blue. I know, it sounds corny. But perhaps I needed some corniness in my life right now. And since receiving flowers cheers me up, I decided to have another floral nail design.

It has been too long since I did a French manicure. For this nail art, I used dark blue nail polish for my nail tips and added white flowers. I didn't want any other color, so I used a lighter blue shade for the center of the flowers.

After a layer of base coat, I used 2 coats of Misa A Sin Worth Committing to create the dark blue tips. Polish was almost opaque with 1 coat. The flowers were painted using acrylic paint.

I have been using Orly Calcium Shield as base coat for several weeks now to reinforce my recovering nails that been brittle for months now. I am liking the results so far.

It's raining outside as I write this post and somehow I feel consoled. Why is that so?

I am still hoping for closure. But I am hoping more for courage to hold on to a promise of someone. I know that one day, life will surprise me and my heart will finally settle down. For the meantime, I'm asking dear ol' time to heal my broken heart as fast as possible.

I am so glad this blue nail art design does not feel blue as I am. What do you think?
