Nail Art: Cherry Blossoms

I did some nail art for Nanay last week. Her favorites are floral nail art designs. She was wearing OPI Tickle My France-Y and that seemed like a very nice base color for a Cherry Blossoms nail art design that I have been meaning to try.

This design seems to be one of the favorites among nail artists as it is quite easy to do. I recommend this for nail art beginners, specially those who would like to try hand painted nail designs.

I used acrylic to paint the Cherry Blossoms. The branches and twigs were first, then the flowers. I painted different sizes for the flowers to create a little personality for the nail art design. Instead of using a dotting tool, I decided to use a nail art brush so I can have better control over the sizes of the petals and the center of the flowers.

I think the appeal of this nail art comes from its daintiness and how timeless it is. I personally believe it can be worn across ages.

I'd like to thank my Nanay for always trusting me to paint her nails. *wink* According to her, I'm faster now. Before, I used to take almost 2 hours to paint her nails. I am able to do it in half a time now. Yey! And since we only have time to do this kind of mother-daughter bonding in the evening, it means that she'll be able to sleep earlier. :)

Have you tried a Cherry Blossom nail art design? Oh, and do you have nail art sessions with your mom?
