Nail Art: Elvis Rocked My Nails

It has been too long (well, it has been more than a week) since I've shared with you a nail art post. I've been busy lately with my first nail art contest. As of this post, voting is in progress to determine five (5) nail art entries that will be included in the finals. If you haven't voted, please visit It's Time To Vote! Last week, I've chanced upon a nail art contest at The Lacquerista with a "Rock n Roll" theme. It took me a few days to decide on what I'll do. Thanks to my lovely sister for her idea.

Here's what I came up with:

I figured Elvis will be lonely without his guitar!


I'm sorry I won't be able to post a tutorial for this Elvis inspired nail art. Voting is ongoing for determining the top 3 nail art entries. If I get lucky to be included in the final 3, I get a blogger stage at her site wherein I need to explain how I came up with this design. :) But rest assured that no matter how the challenge will turn out, you'll see a tutorial here in Simply Rins when the contest ends.

And so for now, let me just share with you a few photos of my Elvis nail design!

    It's actually my first time to do something like this using freehand. I was afraid it wouldn't look like Elvis! No matter how hard I try not to, my designs always look like cartoonish. I'm glad you all liked it.
