Nail Art: Halloween Jack

This is another halloween nail art! It's the second addition to my mini project to create halloween themed nail designs for the whole month of October. I was still in the mood to wear dark polishes so I decided to create a halloween nail art using just the colors black and white.

This is what I came up with:


Since my ring finger is my favorite, that's what I always use whenever I just want do nail art on one nail.


Base colors are Sally Hansen Black Out and Elianto White for my ring finger. I used 2 coats for both colors. Application of the Sally Hansen Black Out was quite easy. I had quite a hard time applying the Elianto White though. Consistency is slightly thick. I'm still on the look out for a white polish that isn't just effective for french manicures. If you have any suggestions, do let me know.

This is my inspiration for this halloween nail art -- Halloween Jack! Since I'm more into using basic shapes for freehand nail art, I just painted a slanted oblong for the eyes. Painting the nails on my left hand is easier for me since I'm right handed. Painting with my left hand is a challenge so I try to keep my freehand designs simple by using basic shapes.



I like the shine of the Sally Hansen Black Out so I kept it as is. I also wanted my version of the Halloween Jack to stand out and what better way to do so by keeping all nails plain and just painting one.


Not so scary? Well, I don't like horror movies and I certainly wouldn't want to have scary nails.


I failed to center the nose on the ring finger of my right hand.

I promise that the next halloween nail art will not be so dark. :)
