Nail Art: Stenciled Flowers

I am not particularly fond of glittered polishes simply because I have a hard time removing them. But a week ago, I decided to wear one as I was browsing for a polish in my stash. I added a simple flower nail art design a day after. I still have mixed feelings on how it turned out until now. Not so sure if it worked or not.

Take a look:

I named this nail design Stenciled Flowers because it reminded me of stencils after I was done painting. I only used one color for the flower and I painted the petals with thin spaces in between for the stencil look.

Base color is 2 generous coatings of Zoya Faye, a lovely purplish glittered nail lacquer.

I hand painted the flowers using white acrylic paint and a detailing nail art brush.

I'm thinking that perhaps a black outline around the petals could make the flowers pop up more from the glittered background color.

  2. i think your mani looks really pretty like that! (: a black outline might make the flowers look too harsh?

  3. I love it the way it is, but I bet the black outline would be beautiful too. I love a crisp white design on a glittery/shimmery polish. I have no idea why, but I think it looks amazing!
