Nail Art: Must Love Dogs

Still inspired from my Little Pink Pigs, I decided to create another nail design of the same concept. This time, I painted dogs! I still went crazy and hand painted dogs on all my nails. Must love dogs, right?

I chose Orly Goth as base color because I intended to make white dogs. Snoopy is my inspiration for these doggies. Come to think of it, they do look like Snoopy! All dogs were painted using acrylic.

I honestly had mixed feelings with how this dog nail design came out. I really wanted them to look adorable but I think I didn't achieve that. Looking at it after I took pictures, perhaps I should have painted the eyes with more details. They look sad, noh?

Maybe I was sad when I was doing this nail design. I really can't remember. I guess there will be times that no matter how we want things to result a certain way, our emotions can get in the way of things.

Here's a closer look of the dogs:

I know that along side my nail art posts, I tell you stories about how I came up with it and other personal tidbits. I want to share bits and pieces of myself with all of you. Looking at nail art photos is one thing, but perhaps knowing about the nail artist will give you an understanding of how I create my designs.

I know these dogs can be cuter. But like I keep saying, nail art is a statement. This says I need to cheer up! What do think this dog nail design is saying?

  3. I think they are very cute and very Snoopy-esque, not sad at all. I will be interested to see how you would do them differently next time though.
I like that you're willing to share some of yourself, it seems that so many nail bloggers are afraid to do so for some reason.

  4. Thank you for the wonderful comments and for appreciating how I post my nail art designs with bits and pieces of myself. :)

Thank you also for being so kind into saying that the doggies look adorable. I will try my best to come up with more adorable dogs in future nail designs! :)

  5. Hmmm maybe a spot of white would make them look happier :) let's just say Charlie Brown and Snoopy had a fight that day, hence the sad look. But still, they look so adorable and they really look like Snoopy :D paint Woodstock next! :D

  9. Thanks! She's a Maltese. Maddie is her nickname; her full name is Madeline. If she is in a crazy mood, she is also known as Mad-dog.

  11. I've been so inspired by your art! I did the piggies last night. I should have used acrylic but opted for polish instead...bad idea. Just love your work!

  12. Hi, Wickless and Polished!
I think it's really nice of you to let me know that some of my nail designs tickled you. If you are comfortable doing nail art with nail polish, I think that is okay. I suggest trying working with acrylic paints too and see which works best for you. :)

  13. Now if you saw my attempt at fancy nails like that you'd probably be in fits. It takes a great artist to draw some of the pictures and so much more skill, I should imagine to recreate that on a false nail. Amazing! nail art salon near me

  55. This dog nail art design is a creative and fun expression of the artist's love for dogs. It's interesting to see how the artist's emotions may have influenced the final outcome of the design. Despite the artist's mixed feelings about the design, it still shows off her skills and creativity. The dogs may look a little sad, but the overall design still gives off a cheerful and playful vibe. It's great to see an artist sharing personal stories and experiences with their audience.
