Here's something to watch out for this coming March 2011. Indios Bravos Multimedia in partnership with Ideal Events International will be holding a fashion show entitled RISQ: A Grand Summer Fashion Show at the World Trade Center in Manila. I am happy to say that Simply Rins is one of the media partners for this event.
RISQ is a search for excellent student designers who will become the new stars in summer lifestyle fashion. It is a competition wherein students of fashion design, fashion merchandising or fashion management who have a passion for creating stylish practical designs are encouraged to participate. They will be given a chance to showcase their talents and demonstrate their understanding of today's fashion.
The challenge is to design a complete wardrobe collection for men and women. The collection should comprise of 11 sets that sophisticated clients can wear on a summer weekend getaway. It should be fashion forward, provocative, compact, and practical. The challenge also entails coming up with a versatile collection. Clients should be able to dress in style from morning to evening, from the resort to the beach to the water using clothes from the collection. And to help them take on this challenge, contestants will undergo a mentoring session with experts.
The competition will be concluded in a grand gala finale show and awarding ceremony in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.
Php 150,000 cash prize awaits the winning designer! He/she will also receive a business start-up kit, a feature in a major broadsheet and a fashion magazine, and a chance to showcase his/her winning collection in a prominent shopping establishment!
RISQ is the brainchild of 2 young fashion forward entrepreneurs. Ms. Kristine Soguilon is a prominent fashion photographer and is the President and CEO of Indios Bravos Multimedia. Ms. Cristina Tanseco-Guerrero is a recipient of the 2010 Go Negosyo Inspiring Young Filipino Entrepreneur Award and founder and Managing director of Ideal Events International.
