Be Personal with oNecklace

Have you ever wanted a "Carrie" necklace? I do, I do, I do! And if you are a fan of Sex and the City, then I am sure you understood why I want one. It has been on my wishlist ever since I saw it on the character of Sarah Jessica Parker -- Carrie Bradshaw.

Another thing to cross out on my list because I finally have one from oNecklace! They specialize in jewelry manufacturing, particularly on personalized nameplate pendants.

Every jewelry purchase comes with an option of a fancy gift box that looks like this:


The box is approximately 3x3x1 inches and is made up of very hard cardboard that makes it difficult to deform the packaging. The flap infront is magnetized to avoid the jewelry from falling out of the box unintentionally. It also includes a customized foam to hold the necklace in place. No need to wrap this up if you're planning to give an oNecklace as a gift. (An additional of $3.95 to get the gift box.)


I find the concept fairly simple. But I applaud oNecklace for offering this because I know a lot of ladies would love to own one of these. It is stylish, classy, and practically goes with any outfit.

oNecklace provides a variety of choices to customize your nameplate pendant. You may choose:

• silver
• gold plated
• 14k gold/white gold

You may also add the following embellishments:

• diamond
• swarovski

Or perhaps you like some texture:

• brushed
• sparkling

Font style, length and style of necklace chain can also be customized! Their website includes photos to make choices easier.

I chose the Silver "Carrie Style Name Necklace", with rolo chain in 16in.


I wore the necklace for about 2 weeks before I made this review. I even brought it with me to my recent travel just to see if it could withstand my outdoor activities. And well, it did not disappoint! I was carrying a body bag everyday and a backpack when we need to transfer hotels and in those times, I tend to brush the necklace with the strap of my bags. A poor quality jewelry would have been broken by then considering the chain I got was thin.

I also did not have any problems with discoloration even when I perspired a lot during the trip. Perhaps having non-acidic sweat is a big factor for discoloration. To counter this if you are, just make sure you wipe the necklace clean before storing it in your jewelry box.

Needless to say, I am very satisfied with my oNecklace. I think every girl needs one. ;)
