The show will have a feature on nail cosmetics. It will basically tackle nail polishes and nail art. I took part on modeling my nails for organic nail polishes and I demonstrated how to do basic fimo (polymer clay) nail art and stamping nail art.

Here's a teaser video of the shoot:
Thank you so much to my sister for coming with me and taking videos and pictures of the actual shoot.

I have no idea if my face will appear on the segment but definitely, my nails and my nail art will. I will try to record the segment so I can post it here for my readers and followers. :)
I'd also like to thank Nikki of Organic Rituals Spa for inviting me last weekend. Her spa that uses 100% organic polishes and other items will also be included for this Saturday's nail cosmetics segment on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. I got a short interview here but not so sure if it will come out on the show.

So if you're free on Saturday night, don't forget to check out the nail cosmetics segment on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on channel 7 at 8:30pm.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! =)
wow! I'll wait for that! congratz rins!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is great. Your work should be showcased. Hopefully it will be on youtube so i can catch some of the show. I'm sure Canada will not carry it. question about your fimo. When you got them are they in canes and you have to slice them or do you get them presliced. I know cane slices usually need to go into the oven to harden as i have seen for jewelry, just wondering what your technique is.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much alikat! I just did a demo on how to attach a fimo clay nail art and stamping. I sure wish I could have showed them a personal design. But time was very limited. Maybe next time they'll get me again to demonstrate one of my nail art. :)
ReplyDeleteI got my fimo as canes. I personally slice them. I don't know how to make them myself. Although it would be nice though to design fimo sticks. Are you asking how I slice them?
I watched it Rins! I'm so happy for you! ^_^ yeah, I also wished that they also featured your nail arts, that would be really great! But still, sikat ka na! woohoo ^_^
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I saw the commercial and it's way way cool! Way to go Rins :D
ReplyDeleteNaku, Jo. Extra lang ang labas ko dun sa segment. I really wished there was a part there about nail art. It would have been nice. Thanks so much for watching. :)

Hi, Meg! Thanks a lot! :P
Rins, i know how to slice them, found a you tube tutorial. After you slice them do you put them in oven (to harden) or just apply to your nails. From your tutorial, looks like option b apply to nails. I can't wait for my canes to arrive.
ReplyDeleteAlikat, I don't put them in the oven after I slice them since they're already hard as they come. I think you only do that if you're making them yourself. Well, I don't know how to make polymer clay so I just buy them as canes and when sliced, it's ready to be attached to nails. :) I'll be anticipating your fimo nail art!
