Nail Art: Daisies

My mom and I had some mother-daughter bonding last week. We had a nail spa night at one of our favorite nail salons. Favorite because we know the nail technicians for years and vouch for their superb service. I would always bring at least 10 nail polishes for my mother to choose from. That night, I suggested we had the same color and she agreed! Of course, I promised her nail art when we got home. After I painted her nails, I did mine too! Our design -- daisies!

Model hands: My Nanay (mother)

On my Nanay's, I painted daisies on her nail tips. I used acrylic paint for everything. I didn't want a bright yellow color for the center of the flower so I opted for a yellow orange shade.

I did her toes too:

Nail Art: White Flowers

I know it has been quite a long time since I posted a nail art design. Work has been keeping me busy and my nails are still trying to recover from brittleness. But I had some free time tonight and decided to do some freehand nail art painting . I did my toes as well! So expect some footsie shots. :)

This is my second floral freehand nail design. Yes, I'm practicing. My mother loves flowers on her nails and I know she'll like the idea that I am trying to be comfortable with floral designs. I simply called this nail art, White Flowers.

Valentine's Nail Art: Bed of Roses

Valentine's Day is almost around the corner and I've decided to post a few nail designs for the occasion. For girls who'd like to dress their nails, I hope you'll be able to find inspiration in my Valentine's nail art designs. This is the first installment to a series of valentine's inspired nail art and I simply called it "Bed of Roses". :)

As most of you have probably observed, I don't usually make floral nail designs. My being a cartoonist greatly influenced my nail art and hence, I've been practicing freehand designs. I'm loving it. It gives more flexibility to any nail artist. Anyway, I've been talking to a fellow nail enthusiast that is really good in floral nail designs and she inspired me to try it out. Unfortunately, I don't really know where to start so I searched the Youtube channels for floral nail art tutorials and I found this video by sewcrafty1. It's a rose nail art tutorial using simple dots. I recommend that you watch it here.

After several practices, I finally came up with this Valentine's nail design using the technique I learned from sewcrafty1's tutorial:
